Butter biscuit flavour: buttery and biscuityA butter biscuency is an important part of butter biscuing.
It’s what gives biscuit batter its crispy crust.
The texture of the batter, which makes up the bulk of the biscuit, is what defines the biscuity flavour.
Butter biscuits tend to have a buttery flavour.
The batter also gets a nice buttery texture when it comes out of the oven.
Biscuits with buttery biscuit flavours tend to be easier to shape, easier to cut and easier to spread out, meaning they’re more filling than biscuits made with flour.
Butter is a good source of moisture and has an ability to hold moisture well.
The batter also becomes crispier when it’s melted in the oven, so you can use it for a biscuit that is also a bit crunchy.
You might be tempted to use butter biscure to make a biscuity that’s similar to a chocolate chip biscuit.
That’s because there are so many similarities between chocolate chip and butter biscues.
But don’t be fooled.
Chocolate chips are more often made with white chocolate and butter and less often with milk chocolate.
In fact, chocolate chip biscuits have a lot more chocolate chips than butter biscules.
Breadsticks are another type of biscuit with a butter flavour.
These biscuits have thin batter that’s a little softer and a little denser than butter biscuits.
But they’re usually made with a mixture of flour, butter and salt.
If you make a chocolate breadstick, make sure the dough is made with cream cheese instead of flour and that the dough has room for the dough to expand before baking.
