Ingredients: 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup butter 2 eggs 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/3 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 cup milk (or more) 2 cups sourdough bread, at room temperature 1/5 cup sugar (or as needed) Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl until well combined.
Set aside.
Combine the sugar, butter, eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, and milk in a medium bowl.
Mix the wet ingredients together until well blended.
Fold in the sourdoug bread and sugar mixture.
Using a spatula, fold in the wet mixture until it is all combined.
Pour batter into prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the edges are slightly crisp.
Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Recipe Notes: If you are using a stand mixer, mix the dry ingredients in at a slower speed until the batter is light and fluffy.
You can also do this in a food processor or food dehydrator.
To make the sour dough, combine the flour, milk, sourdoll, and salt in a small bowl.
Once mixed, form into a ball and roll out.
It will be about 2-inches thick.
